So I’m starting a DW mercenary campaign on TaverKeeper, and I have made a starter inspired by the “Top of the Tower” starter.
Any criticisms?
The idea is that each player will select an answer for one question only.

That’s a great way to get things rolling. I like it. 🙂
Nice!
It makes me think of Dirk Detweiler Leichty’s starter using Discern Realities as a basis (link below). You could (pretty) easily expand each list from 4 to 6 choices, have them roll 10d6, taking turns assigning 1 die to each list, and then use the remaining 2 to determine the starting situation.

Jeremy Strandberg I based it on Dirk Detweiler Leichty’s ‘Top of the Tower’ starter.
That’s a great idea, though given the level of procrastination it took to get four fairly solid options for each, I think for the sake of getting the game going I’ll stick to four. That said, it would still work using d4’s.
This really reminds of the Black Company fantasy series of books; the first trilogy is really excellent. You might want to check out for inspiration!
Thank you Mark Tygart, I’ll check them out! My initial inspiration was James Barclay’s ‘Raven’ series.
