My nine year old daughter just ran her first Dungeon World Game on Friday for two players. On the same note she has also killed her first PC. R.I.P Magnus cleric of Mithras.
Needless to say I am a proud dad.

Everybody step back, we’ve got a killer GM here.
Okay, I’m going to be running for my also-nine-year-old cousin in the near future. Any insights learned from playing with the younger player?
treat them like they are real people, their ideas should hold as much weight as anyone else’s at the table… and be prepared for surprises.
Enjoy it.
Don’t give them a hard no’s, give them suggestions if they need it, and most of all let them be the hero they want to be. I’m not saying to make it easy; if anything make it challenging, but keep it fun. Just realize they’ve never done this before and have very few references. I had to do some guiding in the beginning and now they are running the game.
and like Chris S said, Enjoy it.
OH and keep your beginning sessions short, I found in the beginning 2 hours was good.
Dont underestimate them.
Not directly related to playing the game, but one I learned the hard way… If they are playing at the same table as adults, watch the snacks, if you’re the type of group where people bring snacks to share. Not just for sugar overload, sometimes it’s a kid getting a mouthful of wasabi peas without knowing what they are. Definitely an abrupt halt to the session.
