I’m currently GMing a group with a Neutral Thief, who through a spiritual conversion, has become Lawful. We are playing Servants of the Cinder Queen by Jason Lutes. Given that there isn’t anything written in the Thief character sheet for a Lawful option, what would you guys do to give your player a Lawful objective? I’ve written up some of my thoughts here on my blog, but I’m interested to see what others have done or would do in situations like this.

  1. My suggestion would be something like one of these:

    * When you foil a dishonest or underhanded scheme

    * When you return stolen goods to the rightful owner

Basically anything where she can accomplish a lawful goal with stealth and guile,  but not necessarily require her to confront a foe directly

  2. Maybe instead of switching the characters abilities, you could adapt the story to allow him doing “bad things for a good cause”. Think Robin Hood.
