  1. Here’s what I like. It’s:

    -Wonderfully Simple

    -Neat

    -Compact

    -Spooky/Scary

-Tempting with treasures and demonic pacts

    -Goal-oriented but open-ended

I worry that it may be repetitive (ghost after ghost, zombie after zombie). I’d keep an eye out to break things up with something other than fighting zombies and talking to ghosts.

Also, the magic tablecloth seems hard to use. I’ve never heard anybody say “Tablecloth set yourself,” so it’s unlikely this will happen without prompting.

    Some Questions:

-Will a demon will be summoned?

-Will one of the characters will be possessed?

    -Maybe some traps?

-Why is the lady in the house?  Is she being held there by her husbands ghost? If she could kill everyone in the house, she could either bury the bodies (unless they quickly reanimate) or leave the house.

    -Who made the pentagram?

  2. “Tablecloth, set yourself”

I was worried that this wouldn’t be familiar to other than czech players. The line is from a fairy tale and it was the first thing my players tried. Maybe you could devise more obvious trigger? (the phrase could be stitched on it!)

Repetitiveness isn’t an issue, or at least wasn’t for us.

The zombie fight is only at the beginning. It was first meant to be played in odnd where it’s nice to hint at danger (The Cook means there are zombies here) and give them time come up with a combat strategy (zombies from the gallery will take a few rounds to break the door). But it’s essentially one encounter.

Kid zombie in the bath is more of a trap than a combat.

And the ghosts are really quick, because the solutions are quite obvious.

“-Will a demon will be summoned?”

Depends on the party. It’s certainly set up to be easy to do it. So it only takes one little ambitious PC 🙂

“-Will one of the characters will be possessed?”

That’s for a DM to choose. Summoning or possession. Whatever seems more fun to you. Or make it a player choice – let the demon make both offers.

“-Why is the lady in the house?  Is she being held there by her husbands ghost?”

Yes. His vengeful spirit showed up before she gathered her things to leave. He could never kill her, but he’s okay with imprisoning her.

    -Who made the pentagram?

Doesn’t actually matter. Let it be the one players suspect the most 🙂

Thanks for commenting. Will you try to run this yourself? 🙂

  3. No blanks on the map. No questions to ask the players. No Fronts or grim portents.

As it is now there’s nothing the really says “Dungeon World One Shot” to me, it seems like a very generic One Page Dungeon submission. Only two monster types, both undead. Mentions a demon but nto given any real tools to resolve it, which coudl be done with some Fronts and Grim Portents:

    Front: The Blood Mansion:

    Grim Portents:

The Demon seeks a new host

The demon hides in a zombie

    A PC may be possessed/infected

    The wife attacks the party

The demon tricks the party, opens the Black gate!

Something like that has hooks, makes players care.

It has potential but like I said as it is now it’s not very DW-ish and as a stand alone somewhat generic.
