So just finished a 2 part DW adventure run by Steve Kunec. This one went better than his first attempt (which ended in tpk in the first session). A more straight forward adventure, our band of adventurers went after some pirates who had escaped imprisonment after the ship transporting them was run aground during a storm.
The group split up, and my half found most of the pirates hiding in an old Dwarven mind. Between fighting them and an Ankheg, our barbarian turned 3 of them into her henchmen. The rest of our group encountered some squid people, stopped an arcane ritual they were attempting, found the rest of the pirates, and brought them to justice. Our cleric gained an acolyte as well.
Much like the first adventure, I had a lot of fun. I know he’s got other stuff he’s planning to run right now, but I do hope Steve will revisit DW again somewhere down the road.
Well, Gerry, there IS a superhero treatment of *World, called Worlds in Peril. The kickstarter was successful, and I believe it’s getting nearer to being finished.
When the PDF lands, let’s revisit the system but from a supers perspective!
FYI: I used the free “Indigo Galleon” adventure for last night’s DW game: http://www.johnzo.com/indigo-galleon.pdf
Steve Kunec, we did talk about the game before. I was in the ks also, so sounds good to me 🙂
