was it murdered? cause if so, I think that where the blood touches fertile ground nature’s wrath would seek vengeance.
The Bleeding Heartwood
The treant sap from this gnarled piece of wood looks disturbingly blood-like, but it smells very sweet like maple syrup.
A wooden object varnished with its bloodsap becomes sentient and able to recall its entire life (and death) as if it were a treant.
A creature which drinks its bloodsap will become lethargic and fall asleep at the base of a tree, fusing with its roots. They become a dryad, able to view the world in small glimpses through space and time from any related tree.
These are great Jeremy Strandberg! I think the treeent should hoom and hum a lot 🙂
