Is there somewhere an official conversion guide to adapt D&D3.5 monsters to DW?
How do you translate Hit Points, Armor Class and Damages?
Any rule of thumb I should be aware of?
Tx

Check out Appendix 3 – Adventure Conversion. It starts on page 384 of the DW book.
I tried and it wouldn’t work. Hit points and such really don’t work the same way. It worked better for me to just take the “spirit” of the monster and answer the monster-building questions as honnestly as possible, then add a monster move or two.
(It seems like hard work but making a DW monster is only a minute-long process, shorter when you have a clear idea of the beast.)
Although I just suggesed it, I’ve never actually used Appendix 3. I’ve always done what Grégory Pogorzelski suggested; take the spirit of the monster and answer the monster building questions from the monster chapter.
Yeah, I agree with Christopher Stone-Bush and Grégory Pogorzelski. It’s best to go with the spirit thing. If you think about it, it helps to keep you as the GM focused on the right things.
That’s what I do as well. I also look at earlier versions of the monsters if they exist. Ad&d was much more concise and to the point.
Use the Codex, Julien Tabulazero , it works a breeze and we all get to see your monsters =)
