Working on my Ranger hack, now. Anyone have any Favored Enemy type move they want to share? That’s definitely a move or moves I want to add.
Thinking something along the lines of that when they kill a type of enemy (Bandit, Goblin, Orc Marauder, whatever) they get an ongoing bonus or damage against that type of enemy, until such a time as they designate a different enemy. Perhaps follow-up moves to increase the bonus, or designate more than one enemy at once.
Tim Franzke just posted something about Favored Enemy a couple of days ago, I thought it was really cool. I’ll see if I can’t find it, but it shouldn’t be too far buried.

Found it! Thanks; good inspiration.
No problem. I really like it because it gives something more than “+2 damage” or whatever.
How do these look as background (replacing racial) moves for the Ranger:
Trailblazer
When you undertake a perilous journey through wilderness, you achieve full success at whatever job you take.
Huntsman
You are practiced at both crafting and recovering ammunition. When you make camp or undertake a perilous journey, regain up to two non-magical ammo that you have lost.
Scavenger
As long as you are near some potential source of food, you do not consume rations, and may provide food for one other person.
Stalker
When you avoid the notice of a monster in terrain you are familiar with, take +1 forward to engage the monster.
Looks good, though I would change +1 Forward to +2 damage.
