Has anyone thought about adding versioning (v01, v02, etc.)  to the Playbooks?  I think it would be helpful for ensuring you have the latest version, especially with the free community stuff.  It could be added to the filename or on the Playbook itself.  I will probably add it to my DOCX version of the Playbook template as an option.

  1. Yeah, the stuff on DriveThruRPG is usually not an issue as you can see in your account when an updated download is available.  I was thinking more of the free playbooks that people create and post.

  2. It is not so much control as differentiation.  Maybe each author versions their own work and adds an identifier, possible a letter after the number.  Just a thought.

  3. I was a project manager for a long time.  The other option is for folks to version their own copy, but be more creative with the names for mods of an existing class.  I know many of the Fighter mods have different names, The Fighter, the Improved Fighter, the Peerless Fighter, etc.  For example:

    The Demon Baker v3

    The Demon Pastry Chef v1

The Demon Baker from Hell v666

    etc.

  4. Although a revision history would be helpful, I think it may be going a little too far down the control path.  This whole thread is more of a thinking out loud experiment.  The ultimate goal is to just have a fairly easy, but not too overbearing way to tell same named sheets apart.
