Sod waiting for the rest of the week, here’s the City Thief character sheet:

And here’s the item list to go with it:

(For those who don’t know, the City Thief is a Thief variant class which is about 30% custom content and 70% the core Thief. It’s meant to be a poison-less Thief variant, and one that’s slightly more urban. Also, it’s totally a ripoff of Garrett from the Thief series.)
…and we’re off to a good start – I forgot to update the City Thief to the latest playbook. If you downloaded it in the last five minutes, please redownload. Sorry!
If I had any complaint at all about the original Thief, it’s that poisons seem to belong to a different class. Now, there is this! And it looks great.
Chris Rogers: yeah. I also wrote an Assassin class, which is more a kind of magically-enhanced shadow mage who kills for money (a lot of Dishonored influence, a little bit of Malazan) – the shadow magic stuff ended up making it in because the Thief already had the poison moves.
Now I have a poison-less Assassin and a poison-less Thief. Whoops.
With the City Thief, I can kind of treat the (regular) Thief as more of a Spy class: good with poisons, infiltration, evasion and disguise.
And you could hardly describe what I want from an Assassin class better than “Dishonored + Malazan.” The more Malazan in Dungeon World, the better. Now to find a Sapper class…
My guilty secret is that 90% of the cool stuff I do is cribbed from Malazan.
