Questions: What sort of “Minor Magical Trinkets” do you give the players when you roll a 5 on the Treasure Chart?

Dust that mutates living flesh
Everclean clothing. Ruff of sociopolitical savvy. Gruelspoon. Can of diet soda (you see how they react if they can get it open…). Ballpoint pen. A lead balloon. Wrist mounted timepiece. Caffeine pills.
Useful but in a non-combat setting. Sometimes funny for later plot points.
A spoon that’s not a bad lock pick
Nice! Ya, I am just looking ot make a list of ideas so I wanted to see what other people have come up with… keep ’em coming!
Tjere was a crazy-long thread a while ago about this very topic.
Oh, actual items?
Toothpick of Badassery (+1 for rolls involving cha)
Yo-Yo of Trivialness (+1 to parley – it’s shiny!)
Paul Weber I would avoid +1 whenever possible. It’s huge in DW.
Point – Suggestions?
Toothpick of Badassery — when chomping this, all comers know you’re king of the hill.
Yoyo of triviality — everyone likes a yo-yo; yo-yos are great leverage!
That’s a way to avoid boring bonuses. Fiction first.
Bag of jelly babies.
Extra long trip proof scarf
Alfred Rudzki Of course.
Toothpick of Badassery
+1 ongoing for rolls involving CHA for one encounter (you end up chewing it up by the end).
This was put together a few months back when someone asked this question.

yep… just found it from this thread

Toothpick of Badassery could count as leverage for one Parlay roll and then get chewed up. A different approach for those that might want to avoid giving +1’s
+1 forward is definitely more sound than +1 ongoing.
Enchanted bad art . Can be of any mundane object of art or jewelry, ugly as it is, people still find it beautiful and will go to elaborate length to prove it is beautiful art.
Thomas Roberts haha, enchanted bad art. That’s great. I’m always impressed by people’s creativity around here.
Goblin brooch, makes the wearer invisible to goblins, and only goblins. The lore says a rather smart goblin wizard made this item from the prettified heart of a goblin coward…these are often found among goblin thieves and rogues who think they are invisible to everyone.
The Hat. This hat is special, it makes others view the wearer as an expert in whatever they are currently having a problem with. There is a minor drawback to the hat, should it ever leave the wearers possession the wearer is compelled to risk life and limb to get the hat back. This compulsion can be cured by a drink of any alcoholic beverage.
Drawstring of keeping. When this draw string is used to replace a mundane drawstring, such as on a pouch or on pants. The item becomes nearly indestructible and can only be opened by speaking the command words “oh bother”.
I loved the toothpick, and created my own version of it. I’m late to the party, but would appreciate any feedback:
Bad Ass Toothpick 0 Weight
Chewing on this toothpick makes you a bad ass. Just having it in your mouth isn’t that impressive though, you have to twirl it around. Roll +DEX, on a 10+ choose three, on a 7-9 choose two:
– You can convince someone that you have leverage over them and can therefore Parley with them.
– You carry +1 forward on any Parley attempt
– You can Parley with CON instead of CHA
– The toothpick is not chewed up and destroyed
