Hey, I’d like to know everything I could need to know about Living Dungeon World. Hamish Cameron– can you help? I’m considering taking over the D&D Encounters program this Fall with a Wednesday Night DW game, but I’d need some way to support multi-table play (we typically get 16-24 players each week).

oh yeah now that Encounters is getting pricey, that would be a great idea.
What’s Living Dungeon World?
Something Hamish and some friends did at a con last year: http://ryanmacklin.com/projects/living-dungeon-world/
I had heard of this whilst Googling for DW stuff and came across this:
http://ryanmacklin.com/projects/living-dungeon-world/
The things he’s got link there are basically PDFs with stuff on them and no real explanation of what “Living DW” is other than the brief mention about an event at Strategicon.
I get the impression it’s like encounters or Pathfinder Society and would also like more info on the matter.
Surely it not, even scared to say it…
LARP?
Summoning Christopher Grau and Matt Capizzi , as they’re both running a living DW game at our FLGS…
Wow. That sounds like a very interesting idea.

Fascinating stuff, Philip! Thanks for sharing– I will follow your FB page.
Living Dungeon World is usually a roughly plotted short arc of connected con games that fit within a con sign up schedule and regime, but the principles also apply to the kind of multi-table ongoing campaign that Phil and co are running at UoC. Their model is also inspired by Ben Robbin’s West Marches campaign (described here: http://arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/78/grand-experiments-west-marches/).
I definitely intend to update the LDW document, but I have too many other projects on at the moment, so it’s on the back burner at the moment. Once #ConqueringCorsairs and #TheSprawl are under control…
If you’re interested in busting out LDW at a con in the south west, I could be interested.
I’ll propose it as an option for the Fall and see if my players bite.
Hamish Cameron you’ll be doing LDW at BBC, amiright?
I wasn’t planning on it. I’ll have DW with me to run in Game on Demand though. (And at Go Play NW)
Oh you’ll be at GPNW? Well then, problem solved (for me at least!)
Haha, didn’t we discuss that on Twitter? Maybe I just implied it…
