Hey international Dungeon World fans; I want to try out the US Postal Service’s new Global Forever stamp, to see if it will really allow me to mail copies of the Planarch Codex to anywhere in the world for $1.10, which just seems insane. Hence, I am offering a FREE print copy of the Codex (assuming this works) to the two people in the DW community who live the furthest distance from Seattle, as determined by Google maps and my own arbitrary judgment. Name the city, town, or remote Antarctic research station in which you live and we’ll see who gets them! (The only catch is you have to tell us when they arrive).

  1. I think we’ll let Copy #1 go to whoever wins by distance and Copy #2 go for remoteness (with Yellowknife currently in the lead for the latter).

  2. I’m in London (as in the real one, not the fake one in Ontario), so I doubt I’m far enough from Seattle to qualify (but it’s worth a shot).

  3. Oh man, 深圳, La Plata, and Italia/Deutschland are almost equidistant from Seattle. This one’s going to be close! (Unless maybe there is a New Challenger!)

  4. The ideal candidate would be in the middle of the ocean. Closest land would be French Southern Antarctic Islands. Next would be Madagascar or anywhere in the very south of India.

  5. Awesome. Thanks everyone! Let’s call that closed. I’ll compare normal rates on our postal meter today to see who is the most difficult to ship to. I’ll plan to mail the booklets out tomorrow and we can see how long they take!

  6. Finally found some envelopes that will fit the booklets after a little bit of work. Turns out A2 works perfectly. Here’s how I calculated the winners, picking one for each cardinal direction in the end:

    NORTH > Seattle -> Yellowknife (1724km)

    EAST > Seattle -> Oslo (7328km)

    EAST > Seattle -> Belgrade (9114km)

    EAST > Seattle -> Ankara (9977km)

    SOUTH > Seattle -> Brazilia (10175km)

    SOUTH > Seattle -> Belo Horizonte (10799km)

    SOUTH > Seattle -> La Plata (11185km)

    WEST > Seattle -> Seoul (8320km)

    WEST > Seattle -> Shenzhen (10598km)

    WEST > Seattle -> Christchurch (11964km)

    WEST > Seattle -> Melbourne (13181km)

    I will be contacting Jeremy Scott Muzaffer Büyükkaragöz  Esteban Jauregui Lorda and Jarrah James for their addresses! Thanks, folks. This should be a fun experiment!

  7. Jonathan Walton Just checking in to see if you’ve tried to get my mailing address yet, want to make sure I haven’t missed it if you have.

    Cheers
