(Still haven’t quite figured out how to post an album to the community, so bear with the kludginess)
I believe that DW makes for some excellent grab-and-go gaming, so I miniaturized as much as possible and crammed it into a box. The box is from the WoW TCG, the monster cards are from Vasiliy Shapovalov, and the whole thing measures just over 7″x5″x2″, technically small enough to fit in, say, a cargo pocket.
THIS is how you Travel Dungeon World.
Okay, that’s pretty damn awesome.
Oh man that is so awesome.
Hmmm…. I have about a hundred DVD cases. Aside from the dice and book, I’ll bet nearly everything I’d need for a DW campaign would fit inside one of them….
You’d be surprised how thick those monster decks are, stacked together! So many critters!
Hmmm… good point…
I could see customized packs though. Class sheets, a few generic dungeon maps, and environment-ready monsters.
This set is meant to cover one-shot or intro play, so it tries to be fairly inclusive.
I just realized that you could fit the Scoutbook stuff like the Codex in there pretty easily, too.
The character sheets had to be trimmed down to exactly 7″x5″, I don’t know the dimensions of the Scoutbooks.
They’re 5″ x 3.5″.
Oh they’d totally fit then! You could even put them side-by-side to save thickness.
I see the char sheets are folded over. What’s on the 2nd 1/2 of the non-spellcaster sheets? Generic moves sheet?
Advanced moves. The spell casters have a second sheet. There are also two basic move sheets. It’s the character sheet PDF from the DW website.
Those lucky enough to have the backer supplements in print form are well set to implement this.
And I’m still working on my monster cards! Now waiting for a guy to draw small dungeon setting symbols to use as a card suits. How cool is that?
Shovels, Skewered hearts, Jewels, and Shileighlieghs.
Man I really want this book I’ve looked everywhere. Just waiting like a good boy feeling the envy grow and grow
Vasiliy Shapovalov I love your monster cards but what should I print them on? Is your file formatted to be printed on a particular perforated sheet so that the individual cards are all a uniform size?
Kevin Ecker The monster sheets aren’t aligned to any perf paper that I know of. I printed them on cardstock (with a few test sheets to find the best way to feed them through my printer) and then trimmed by hand. A lever-arm paper cutter is really the GM’s best friend.
Nope, I didn’t even know that pre-perforated sheets even exist. Just print them on a sheet and use the paper cutter (or scissors, but it would be messy and time-consuming).
