Hi all
When I GM’ed a D&D 4e campaign some two years ago, I made this custom monster, the Siege Troll. It was one of the best boss battles I ever made.
That was D&D. Now I’ve converted it for Dungeon World, for the joy of the entire community. If you like sieges in your campaigns, then I can highly recommend spicing it up with an over-sized troll, flung over the defenses by catapult!
You like that idea? Well, then click the link below and tremble in fear at the mighty Siege Troll!

“Throw a chunk of debris”/”pick them up and throw them” should be merged into “throw something or someone,” but other than that, I like it a lot!
Ahh, of cause. Will make that correction. Thanks for the suggestion
*slow clap*
That is a thing of beauty.
This reminds me of a game I played in, the same DM had many games for different people over the years, Greyhawk setting, near the humanoid mountain ranges, if I am not mistaken, whenever they attacked the city some of the players had made the same guy would be the first to get a boulder on his house.
It happened so often in the many games that this guy’s hammer was magical, putting nails in place in a single hit that never missed.
This is a fantastic monster. “Eat townsfolk alive” is one of my favorite monster moves.
Travis Stout Mine too
It makes the troll something to be stopped, sooner rather than later.
Thanks for sharing. I haven’t tried DW yet, but monsters like this certainly are tempting.
