Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! What do you think about this move I created on the fly during today’s game when the wizard tried to interfere with a ritual to summon a dark prince by casting Dispel Magic? “When you interfere with the dark ritual roll INT. On 10+ the ritual fails and you are without harm from beyond for now. 7-9 you attract the attention of a dark prince get 3 hold. 6- You are the first victim of the newly summoned entity. If you get hold: each hold represents the dark prince mind spite on your sorry soul, you suffer -1 ongoing to cast spells per each hold you have. You can spend hold to eliminate this penalty. If you use hold the dark prince can twist your fate as he wants once per hold you spend (GM will tell you how). You have 24 hours to spend hold this way or the effect is permanent.”

What do you think? ;)

Hi everyone, I have a question.

Hi everyone, I have a question.

Hi everyone, I have a question. Does the Repair cleric spell work on the caster? “Choose one event in the target’s past. All effects of that event, including damage, poison, disease, and magical effects, are ended and repaired. HP and diseases are healed, poisons are neutralized, magical effects are ended.”

I wonder why these awesome starter adventures use a format that’s different from the Grim Portent/Impending Doom format as per the DW handbook. They play great just like that. Dishing the rules work or am I seeing it the wrong way?

Help, too many players.

Help, too many players.

Help, too many players.

I have a lot of players and I am almost the only person running DW. Players love this game and every time there’s anyone interested I teach them but now I face the difficult part of having to choose who will play and who will not. I only play with 4-5 players (more people spoil the fun).

As a countermeasure I taught a friend to be a GM but still have 20 people waiting for me to play every Saturday afternoon (my only free day).

Any advice?

I play at a mall food court, not at a home.

I play at a mall food court, not at a home. I can’t take my game to a home bacause most players are underage and don’t get permission to go to houses. At the mall there is a spot where all kind of gamers gather and play tabletop games and exhibit their costumes and such. The mall is ok with this, there’s enough room for everybody and there plenty of food. The question is that I always have different people at my table. I don know how to keep a steady campaign when nobody knows what’s going on in the world and there is no involvement with the world since players change from session to session. That is campaign developments fom last week’s players are meaningless to today’s new players. Any advice?

Please help me I have trouble understanding the working of the thief advanced move called Dirty Fighter, I don’t understand why it says “all other attacks” Quote the move here: Dirty Fighter

Replaces: Cheap Shot

When using a precise or hand weapon, your backstab deals an extra +1d8 damage and all other attacks deal +1d4 damage.

Is it possible to choose an option when backstabbing other than “You deal your damage+1d6” and still make damage? What’s the exact number and type of dice a regular backstabing attack would deal?

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! I have a question about GMing for you. This is the case: A party composed of some core classes and a dragon player character are underground dungeon crawling and reach the Giant Assasine Vine chamber. The vine attack and the dragon uses dragon breath on the giant plant. The narrator (me) rules that the fire sticks and burns the vine filling the whole Dungeon in heavy choking smoke. The characters escaped the fire running unprepared into a number of nasty pitfalls and traps. The characters were jammed for hours because of the fire consequences and blamed on the dragon player for starting it. Question: was my move too hard?

My friend “H” who’s is a game master of Dragon Age thinks I should have just let the fire damage the monster and that running all the fire consequences ruins the fun for the dragon and for the players and makes the dragon looks useless and unfunny to play.

I always watch videos of people playing DW’s first session and that’s so cool, but you don’t play a first session every time you play. I wish there were more videos about continuous play, campaign building, character development and bond-solving, that would be something!

Hello guys, I am thinking about some novel powers for a compendium class for a guy who survives dragon breath attack.
