GenCon is rapidly approaching. I’ve only played Dungeon World once, last GenCon, I’ve been running it practically since I got home from the con and I look forward to getting a chance to play again as a player at Gencon. Adam Koebel Sage LaTorra will you have anything new for us to buy or play at GenCon this year?

I’m going to practically live in the Indie games on demand area, anyone else planning to load up on sweet sweet indie gaming during GenCon?

Other than Dungeon Planet are there any DW compatible (using the same stats and moves) science fiction (or any non-fantasy) inspired classes that anyone knows of? My players love DW, and Love the setting for RIFTS (no one loves the rules for RIFTS, which we only really ever play to show newbies how hardcore RPGs used to be) and I’d like to try a science fantasy game using DW as the engine, the classes in DP are cool but too pulpy for what I’m trying to achieve (though I allow them in my regular DW games, who doesn’t like weird genre bending in their fantasy games?).

Tell us a tale: At the start of the session, if you are the first to recount the party’s adventures from last time, mark xp.

We play once a week and it’s really hard sometimes for players to remember what happened last time (we’re all busy adults and such) this encourages them to write it down so they can claim the xp next week. As to having to be the first to tell us a tale, that’s for a perfect world, I’m usually pretty lenient as it often takes 2 or more to tell the whole tale so I usually let both mark xp. Anyone else try a move like this in their games?
