So, I’ve previously spouted my appreciation for the effort put into the wonderful #AdventureTime  setting for 4th edition D&D (linked below); The thought, the flavour, the production values are sterling for what is effectively an unofficial product on both sides of the #CartoonNetwork  and #WizardsoftheCoast  fences.

What I found when playing it, though, was that either my love for 4e as a system had dwindled too much to play it right, or it was just too clunky and fiddly for the setting. Grids? In Oo? No way! Neither battlemap nor character sheet seemed to fit in that zany, ever-changing mutant wasteland of candy chaos.

Nowadays, I feel it might be more at home in the  #DungeonWorld  framework.

“Adventure World” hack/playbook, anyone? I’ll probably try to make my own someday when I have more free time. You just need to port the classes and the moves, and the rest is just monster building and custom moves for episodic situations.

Hell, you could even do it with Regular Show if you wanted…OR ABSOLUTELY  A N Y T H I N G !
