Folks, my group is off to a great start but based on where we live (San Miguel De Allende, Mexico) we are thinking of moving online to a virtual tabletop so we can open up the group to a couple other players. I want something that does good video and audio and wondered if any of you might have some suggestions?

Just in time for Thanksgiving, I’m releasing a new setting! I’ve talked about this a bit in the group, and a lot of ya’lls feedback really helped shape the book. This is my first ever physical release and I’m really proud of the design and art that went into this.

The setting itself is kind of a Weird-Fantasy mashup of Dredd, The Raid, Boy Scouts and Fury Road. Its set in a unique world where diverse races of people make their homes inside immense sky-scraper trees, and you, the Rangers, solve the problems they face.

“Before we were anything, we were nothing

Before we were together, we were alone

Before we were Rangers, we were Boughless

The world as we know it is an infinite forest, so dense that sun rarely pierces the canopy. Beasts and monsters lurk in the shadows, ready to eat anything even remotely unprepared. The only place that’s safe is inside massive, city sized trees, each housing a unique civilization – The Boughs.

That is, of course, unless you join The Rangers.

If you do, you’ll face down Ember-Hounds, teeth dripping with liquid fire. You’ll be called on to stop wars between Boughs, ambush Yix dealers peddling their enchanted drugs, solve mysteries of the endless Firmament deep underground, and explore the outer reaches of the Wastes. You’ll see things you wouldn’t imagine, you’ll tell stories even we won’t believe. It’s not safe, it’s not comfortable and you can’t count on fame and riches.

But we will remember you.

The Boughs cry out, we answer”

I made this creature using the Mutant and Monstrosity Generator from Logan Howard’s latest Sword Breaker zine: The Folded Lands. Although this is very tongue-in-cheek, I’ve used the generator to make a few really cool, very usable creatures!

The Hunter Solitary

8 HP, 0 Armor – Kick (1d10 damage, Forceful, Close)

Special Quality: Natural Camouflage

The Hunter is a large spell-casting, nearly invisible turkey that preys upon humans one day out of every year. The Hunter will blend into its environment with a natural camouflage and wait until just the right moment to attack with fire spells to debilitate its prey, then move in for the kill with a swift kick. After eating some of the victim it will then cast a freezing spell to save the meat, eating the leftovers of several kills throughout the rest of the year.

Instinct: To wait patiently for prey

Mimics are natural predators, born by magical means, that will eat just about anything that touches them. As shapeshifters, capable of perfectly replicating the appearance of wood, stone, and metal; Mimics commonly take on the form of stairs, door frames, chest, and many other shapes. Though larger mimics are mostly mindless creatures, with only enough intelligence to understand what kind of shapes blend in with its surrounding environment. Smaller mimics though are not only capable of greater intelligence, but even of tactics and speech. Mimics care only to feed themselves, but what the food is doesn’t matter to them, and smaller specimens will gladly let an adventurer go by unscratched in exchange for a bag of food. Such bribes can also be used to gain information or even guidance though a dungeon. Instinct: Satisfy Hunger

Hireling Priest – First Aid

Hireling Priest – First Aid

Hireling Priest – First Aid

Hi, Quick Question because i may need this in the next session.

The Priest hireling has the First Aid Skill.

Heal Skill x 2 HP and take -1 forward.

There is no Slow tag attached. So he can use it in combat?

Seems like a strong skill.

I don’t want to discuss if Hirelings are a good thing or not.

This topic was discussed earlier, but with no answer.

So I made a previous post about wondrous items, and I saw several good items there, that are not really anime fitting or anime specific, so I went back to look at the post, and I apparently left out the word anime. Sorry about any inconvenience that may have caused.

So I reiterate anyone got any ideas for anime themed magic items? Again less along weapons and armor, and more along the wondrous items vein.
