(I know the logo’s wrong – not quite finished that yet….)

There’s a new adventure for all y’all on my Patreon. It’s based in my jungle Green Scar setting, and I’ve rolled in my 2nd release of those “Dungeon World light” (“World of Dungeons 1980s”?) rules I was playing with a few weeks ago. Playtest/feedback welcome!

(If you’re a patron of mine, I’ve also just posted a 33% discount on the print release of Shadows of Umberto that’s good until 8th August.)

Question for people who are interested in buying DW adventures!

What’s a good fluff/rules ratio for you? Super-condensed, like The Indigo Galleon? Or pretty verbose, like The Last Days of Anglekite? or somewhere else on the spectrum?

Why? What do you get from fluff? Or, what do you like but never read?

I want to run a 2-3 session campaign of Shadows of Umberto (a new version, I’m working on a revision so spoilers shouldn’t be an issue.)

Drop a comment if you’re:

– Able to commit to one night a week (say Wednesdays 7pm UK time) for a minimum of 3 weeks in the next month or so.

– Happy to play one of the “standard” DW classes (that is, the ones from the original book, plus Barbarian and Immolator.)

– Cool with playing via hangouts, which means using a microphone and (preferably) webcam; a half-decent internet connection is also preferable 🙂

– Cool with the hangout being recorded and possibly published on my Youtube channel at a later date.

Shared below are a few other games I’ve been meaning to try. If some of the above doesn’t work for you, maybe we can get a game of one of the other things going instead?

GAMES I WANT TO RUN/TRY

I can do 6:30-10pm UK time, say no more than 2 times a week, most nights except Sunday.

In no particular order:

– (Run) Dungeon World (Re-playtest Shadows of Umberto to be exact)

– (Try) Burning Wheel and/or Torchbearer

– (Try) 13th Age

– (Try) Shadowrun, a not-stupid-rules edition

– (Play/Run for 1st time) Blades in the Dark

Drop me a line if you can help. Even if you’ve dropped me a line before and we’ve not made it happen – let’s try again?

If you’ve picked up Shadows of Umberto before, you should know I’ve just given this adventure a BIG overhaul!

If you’ve picked up Shadows of Umberto before, you should know I’ve just given this adventure a BIG overhaul! If you’ve not, I recommend grabbing it in this month’s Bundle of Holding (https://bundleofholding.com/presents/DungeonWorld2) – you can get it and The Green Scar as part of the bonus collection!

So the cat’s out of the bag with this, as of last Friday: Not only have The Green Scar and Shadows of Umberto both gone into the latest Bundle of Holding, but for those of you paying attention I’ve majorly updated Shadows of Umberto to bring it more closely in line with ‘modern’ takes on DW adventure design.

(Mark Tygart and everyone who posted in the tavern about DW adventure design – our discussions happened just after I submitted the new version of SoU, so not everything we talked about ended up in there. However, I’d definitely value your feedback!)

If you’ve bought Shadows on DTRPG already, you can grab your updated download right now. If you haven’t, and want to not only grab a copy but also grab a huuuuuuuuuuge selection of Dungeon World content, head on over to Bundle of Holding and pick up a copy, yeah?
