A player accidently lost his eye and it was replaced by the “lost” eye of a and ancient insectiod “god”.  The eye is hard and gem-like, multifaceted and is much larger than his other normal eye.  It has been set in motion that this being now knows his lost eye has been found and will come looking for it. (sort of riffing off Chronicles of Corum).

I have established that he can now see magical auras and that, when wrapped in gauze/cover with eye patch, he can still see though that eye.  What I would like to do is come up with some cool moves with his eye…I can come up with a few but they are not that exciting or fun. What are your thoughts?

I am running a Dwellers of the Forbidden City….basically…a old city in the middle of a jungle where the previous builders are gone. There are a few factions…Hobgoblins, Bullywugs, Yuan-ti, a Mage, Mongrel Men (led by an abusive mage who is not from this city and wants to leave), and another group who cannot be rationally dealt with.  I am going to have the party teleport into the mage’s quarters and quite possible have to deal with that awkward situation..

What I am looking for, but I am having some problems with, it to come up with a handful of of things for the players to do in their possible interactions with the competing factions…beyond just killing them.

The players will likely want to leave, and there are a few passages out of this inverted mesa. I was thinking of having a magical way out which the mage would aid them with if they did a mission or two (like stealing some eggs from the bullywug camp).

Since this is  highly creative group….I am hoping for a handful of high level ideas that I can flesh out.

While DW isn’t my “go to” system to run, I had some teens that wanted to play an RPG and DW  seemed to be the best choice for newbies. As expected, was a lot of fun. I was surprised that it turned a bit into a murder hobo session during the first game, but I supposed I shouldn’t have been though.

I left 99.9% of the world blank, and even the reason for their mission blank, filling it it with their answers to my  questions.  I normally don’t run things this way, so it has been a good exercise as I let the Discern Realities and answers to questions start detailing the locale and the world…even affecting the scenario we played out. It seemed to work out fairly well.

Now, I have two weeks to come up with an under-city map/adventure/front that leads to a treasure of some sort….
