Colin Spears Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World-Wide-Web, is one of their financial backers and advisors and has been working on it for several years (https://twitter.com/timberners_lee/status/590726480696573952?lang=en) . I haven’t signed up yet, but I’m willing to give it a cautious try.
So far so good. I’m happy with it but I’ll need to adjust some feed settings.

Matt Horam Agreed. Hopefully the Pod/Solid technology ideas will go somewhere, but right now, there’s not much there. Also, I’m not too happy that MeWe looks to be mostly populated by conspiracy theorists.
Christopher Dolunt nothing to worry about unless you join their groups. It’s not like FB where you see your friends posts and THEIR friends posts.
Join groups of RPGs and other stuff you like and avoid the other stuff you don’t like and your feed should be nice and curated and relevant to you.
Also, I’ve been advising people to keep their contact list slim, since you see all the posts by your contacts. Stay with groups you like and you’ll probably be happy.
