The good news is that I can fit the World of Dungeons classes on playing cards, and the only bad news so far is that each A4 page has room for four more cards and I didn’t prepare any content for them. Random tables, maybe?

  1. Thanks to either Dustin Flesher or Dustin Flesher for the inspiration, but I wish one of you had set a profile photo to save the double-tag.

  2. You can’t see it at that scale, but all the necessary rules are there, it’s a pocket version of World of Dungeons, so there’s only one move.

  3. It might be useful to have some sort of Quest/Monster XP scale, which is mentioned in the original rulebook but not outlined. Probably wouldn’t be too tough to come up with something simple that makes sense.

A scale for loot might also be helpful. You can infer the value of things from their costs on the item list, but having an easily referenced scale would be nice.

  4. So you consider these a player aid or GM aid? And is it for in-game reference, pre-game prep, or a little nitro-boost for beginning a game quickly? Encounter/adventure tables could be handy. Or, tables of character names, backgrounds, motivations – useful for PCs and NPCs.

  5. This looks amazing, will you share the actual document as well? (for me the png is not showing anything thats readable, but I assume this is awesome)

  6. Gerke Bouma once the sheet is full and printing legibly I will flatten it out and share, as it is just layout and editing of the work of others.

  7. Okay, I have a blank character card (roll your own class using the other class cards) and a quest/spirit card. That leaves two more double-sided cards. I should have this finished next week if life treats me right.

  8. Update: I made four extra cards, then remembered that printers require margins, removed two cards, printed and found a rules typo. Will fix the typo tonight and have the file shared out on Monday.

  9. Seriously awesome work, dude! A couple minor notes: It would be nice to have a spot for Coin on the player cards (I get that space is tight though). Likewise for a mention of the Die of Fate on the GM card.

Also, “Woodland” doesn’t seem to fit with the other options for Monster Origin. The other ones are much more general. Maybe replace it with something like “Artificial” or “Magical”?

Again though, this is totally awesome.
