Here’s my first attempt at making a map for my upcoming stream’s campaign. It’s also my first time using Photoshop for any real length of time in years since I use Clip Studio Paint generally. You can find the tutorial here http://characterdesigninspiration.tumblr.com/post/153044802076/resource-world-map-templates-hey-everyone-heres#notes This is all editable so it’s great for DW since you can fill in more as you play by just moving icons and adding names or new land masses. The instructions are very clear and succinct so I’d encourage trying it out!

I named the places after spices/herbs.

  1. Not saying it as an outright criticism, but it strikes me that the stars might be capitals. if this is the case, I would hazard that generally speaking, almost everyone should know more than one major capital. I’m only arriving at that idea from the fact that I know more than 4 capitals myself. Take from that what you will.

  2. Josh C You can add and take away the stars with this. I didn’t want to name a bunch of stuff right off since we’ve not done the Zero Session yet. I figure my players will tell me the names of the various capitals but naming at least one seemed like a good jumping off point. This is basically the draft, and I expect it to shift around. I’ll include the knowing more capitals into my geography questions when we do our Zero Session though since that seems reasonable now that you’ve brought it up. It’ll help pad out the map as well I think. Especially when I do more local maps for the countries.
