My total improv, science fantasy Dungeon World game went so well Friday night that we played another session today!
We had an Earthling, an Engine of Destruction and a Mage. They escaped a gang of punk zombie bikers to explore a titanic fluid transfer system on my weirdo Planet X. They encountered a green death slime, a Mass of Limbs from Johnstone Metzger’s awesome Wizard-Spawned Insanities, and a psychic holo-dragon. They discovered a trapezoid-shaped dimension ship, and managed to figure out how to pilot it to Viriconium.
After a brief battle with some purple mutants, the oracle/sage Sutomo advised them where to find the Lost City, where they discovered a massive bronze ziggurat filled with scientists experimenting on ancient soul crystals from a forgotten war (reskinned Thaumaturgy Crew from A Market in the Woods).
The Engine of Destruction learned where his spliced consciousness came from, the Earthling was possessed by the soul of a long-dead space marine, and they’re now trying to figure out how to stop the scientists from splicing more space marine souls into robot brains.
