An old dusty chakram found in an abandoned dusty temple (were the worshippers driven away by brigands?). It is covered with figures of warriors holding various weapons. When the dust is swept aside, it is as sharp and pristine as ever. This weapon is hard to wield, but deadly when used properly.

The tags are far, near, hand, clumsy, and dangerous.

When you throw the chakram, roll plus Dex. On a 10+ choose 3, on a 7+ choose 1, on a 6- you miss and injure/break something you wish you didn’t. On a 12+ you can also choose to name a limb or item your target has, it’s cut in two.

-You can hit up to three targets of human size within near range.

-The chakram ricochets back to your feet.

-It intercepts an incoming ranged attack.

-It cuts through protection, ignoring one type (GM’s choice) of damage reduction.

  1. Your drawing skills are near my equal, dude…

What DID catch me is the simple consideration of how dangerous it is to use (and what were Xena’s palm made of?!?!). It suggests me a particular techinque of handling, throwing, etc. MAybe in the past, there were many, in the hand of an elitewarriormonkdudes army…

I’d not divide the damage amongst the targets (too close to a normal move); maybe I’d say three targets up to human or large size.

Second, on a 12+, I’d give the target’s player the possibiliy of an instant bargain:

    -I cut your left hand

-Agh, what if you cut my silver spear in two, instead?

-Right, you use it to parry, and it’s split in two!

    or

-Nay, I’ll go for your hand, still.

    -Gosh…

  2. Ok, I won’t have the damage divided among targets, I was already a little skeptical about that one anyway. And as for the 12+ I was inspired by one of the moves for the barbarian class which and if I made it a bargain, it might get in the way of choice four “cut through one form of protection.”

And yeah my drawing skills aren’t all that legendary 😂

  3. It should have the clumsy tag if it is difficult to use as stated. Also you can hit 3 things in near range? It has the far tag so I’m confused. Can this be thrown at a single target?

  4. Eric Lochstampfor yeah, you can hit up to three targets that are in near range of each other, even if you are “far” from them. And yes, it can also be thrown at just a single target.
