I am working on a text generating engine. My first show- and test-case is what I call “instant adventures”. I found that it works rather well to stimulate my fantasy, and quite often i find myself immersed in the story that is generated. Even better: i found some really humorous things.

The link to Dungeon World is obvious. At the end of the generated adventure the question is: “What do you do?”

I have plans in abundance as where to go with the website, but for now I have to fine tune the engine, debug many situations and add content. In the mean while you are more than welcome to find inspiration here.

  1. “What

Cingiy, a high king of Lemb, usually gullible and serious somehow has remembered the lost scroll about the enlivening of the notorious cloak of ultimate sexual prowess.”

    Dat cloak though…

“But after she (a girl king?) failed to do so, has released a band of conventional giants tantalizing the river Cto next to temple of the Demon Nge..”

    Ha, tantalizing a river!

    “Virdig Tharml Chimwmize.

Female Halfling (neutral). Submissive, upright, smiley, pop-eyed. Rosy brown eyes, short, gainsboro hair with albino skin.

    STR:7 DEX:11 INT:14 WIS:5 CON:8″

Absolutely no CHA though. Sheltered albino halfling lol

It has some hiccups, but I think you are headed in the right direction. Good job overall!

  2. What

The empress mentiones that a salty candle of ultimate bravery and courage is about to sublimate. Go to ice wall and fetch help from Eptie..

    Where

You are on the mountain tundra with the huge statues of Eco Ssme and his husband Rigven and a lake Bollere. To the west there is the vulcano with walls and the shallow river, leading to Calfran. To the east is the arctic desert with the stone wall. You hear a hushed sound. .

    I love this thing!

    Edited for spacing

  3. I’ve had some goofy ones, but this one is easily my favorite:

    What

    – – – – –

These things are happening: the river Cke is reversing its flow; the sky has turned sea green.

    – – – – –

    Where

    – – – – –

You are inside the tunnel. Nearby you can see the 6 pillars and abandoned ruins of Trn. In the distance there is the montane alpine meadows with gigantic statues of Kytteinie Oucag and her husband Jesse and the timeless walls. To the south there is the coastal desert with illusive ruins and pillars. To the east is the puna with the wall, covered with vines. You hear resonant murmuring.

    – – – – –

Translating that to out, I came up with:

The river Cke is the aetherial river separating the sky and lands. The ruins of Trn are it’s “source”, with the resonant murmur the closest thing to a physical manifestation Cke has. Someone, through tampering with the ruins, has managed to reverse the flow of Cke, and air and water and swapping places. the sky is sea-green because it’s literally becoming the sea, and the oceans themselves are draining upwards.
