  1. I like the idea but one of my favourite RPG scenarios involved exploring a sewer. In theory sewers can be as complex and as filled with encounters as any dungeon. I’d suggest this be a move that you might employ once you had the opportunity to explore the local sewers first (of course, if it’s in a character’s backstory, go for it).

Yeah this is meant for a city adventure, where thieves use the sewer to avoid the guards (Outstanding Warrants move). Somewhat Blades in the Dark inspired. Sewer dangers and exploration weren’t a huge focus, but I totally get what you mean.

And of course sewer goblins  stabbing you with feces caked knives are on a 6 or less, that goes without saying, duh…

  3. I love “choose one or the other” moves. But my issue here is that one of the 7-9 choices feels like a failure, as you don’t get to your intended destination. What does it matter if you stay clean but end up somewhere else? Could it be a choice between staying clean and spending a lot of time?

If you are sneaking into a warehouse to rob it that’s different if you are sneaking into a big Garden Party to pose as waiters.

When the move was made, not getting filthy mattered. Feel free to mod it to your needs.

Again it was made to avoid the “Outstanding Warrants” move, so if they wound up elsewhere they could still get to a place via the streets but run the risk of being spotted.
