I have a question about Servants of the Cinder Queen, which I’m going to run for friends this weekend.

How do you run the Catacombs? Do you draw a map according to the area move rolled? Do you simply wave this not drawing anything while having an understanding at the table that they can backtrack (with some chance of getting lost, if thet did not take any precautions)? I’m curious, and I’m not sure yet how I’ll procede.

  1. There’s no specific intended way to do it. I’ve run it with me drawing the map, them drawing the map, and abstractly. I do find that with folks new to RPGs, drawing a map can be more helpful.

Also, I would say to only follow the roll results as long as they’re interesting — as soon as the game begs for it, let them find the next point of interest.
