  1. I thought “piercing n” meant you reduced any armor the target had be n-amount. I never treated it as extra damage.

    From the book:

    “n Piercing: It goes right through armor. When you deal damage with n piercing, you subtract n from the enemy’s armor for that attack.”

  2. In every other context I’ve ever seen it, Piercing damage simply is damage that negates armor, not extra damage that only applies if you’re wearing armor. It wouldn’t make any sense.

    “the Spear does LESS damage to me because it doesn’t have to punch through armor plating before getting to me..Oh wait, No. Crap…”
