I will probably never get to run a Zelda flavored game, but I’ve always wanted to. Also, design is not my forte, but I wanted to share this anyway. Hopefully someone will be able to use it for their WoDu game.

  1. That is a right beautiful sheet indeed. Misspelled heritage, though.

    For what it’s worth, I’d be down for a Hylian Hangouts game. Start up a thread and see, you might get a party after all.

    I’ll post up a corrected version tomorrow. In the mean time here are the racial moves I whipped up:

    Goron Moves:

    • Gain sustenance through eating stone.

    • Ignore pain, exhaustion, or hardship, or extreme heat

    • Spot flaws in non-Goron craftsmanship. 

    • Find friendship and welcome amidst strangers.

    • Roll swiftly across flat terrain crashing through obstacles and enemies.

    Deku Moves:

    • Skip across the surface of small bodies of water.

    • Shape wood with song.

    • Speak with the spirits of the forest. 

    • Blind enemies with an explosive nut. 

    • Burrow into the earth and re-appear unexpectedly.

    Zora Moves:

    • Move effortlessly through water.

    • Generate an electric field to stun.

    • Charm, dazzle, or confuse with music.

    • Envenom an object or weapon.

    • Speak with the spirits of water.

    Hylian Moves:

    • Hear the voice of your patron Goddess. 

    • Communicate telepathically. 

    • Recall a secret from ages past.

    • Draw power from your ancient blood.

    • Speak with the spirits contained in your

    people’s ancient marvels. 

    Interloper Moves:

    • Blend into a crowd.

    • Step, briefly, painfully into the other world

    • Perform an act of inhuman grace.

    • Know someone’s secret. 

    • See the unseen.

  3. Corrected version is done and with a reworked lay out. Work on writing a Zelda flavored “fourth page” is about half done. Still need to write the section on dungeons and some GM moves for the various races.

    In all seriousness, this is super cool. I remember seeing it when it was first posted and was curious if there were any updates on it?

  5. I’m juggling being cleverly disguised as an adult, and other projects but I’ve made progress. The section on why Zelda Dungeons are the way they are is done (though I’m not sure how much I like it). All in all there are about 15K words done. I’m working on tables for dungeon creation. Next up are Monsters and Items.

    After that is the dread lay-out process…
