the game is gonna be an open ended story driven forum game with the ability to be a gm or player on any given adventure it’s gonna be a while before we’ve set anything up but if you want to join: http://forums.fantasyworldcreations.com/index.php

I´m really looking forward to it. My personal approach would be:
If you try to combine items needed to create something new, ask the gm if that works with the resources you intend to use. If so, spend the resources and roll 2d6+int.
On 10+ You create the desired object.
On 7-9, you create the desired object, but it could be not working as intended or you might need to invest additional resources.
On a 6-, your attempt fails in a dangerous or expensive way.
