Couple of questions for the Tavenites, is the Adventures in Dungeon Planet playbook worth getting and also is there much fan-made content made for it?

  1. Well, I love Dungeon Planet very much… but if you don’t want to center your campaign around it, maybe some of it won’t be useful? Though, some monsters and maybe more than that is portable.

It has gear, monsters, classes, adventures… it really is a complete yet compact all-in-one solution… even for inspiration it’s worth it I think.

To the second point, I haven’t seen much fan content for this (maybe none? I forget) but there should be!

  2. I second the need for more AoDP fan made stuff! I think Inverse World mentions using the Captain in the setting, and I make mention to it in the “If It Exists in Dungeon World, It exists in Eberron” part of the conversion I’m doing, but I haven’t seen much else beyond that.

  3. It’s a very good book, and I’d venture that some of it is easily back-compatible into DW. It’s got some good design thinking, at least from my point of view. As for fan-made stuff, not a huge amount, but it’s ripe for it. I’m slowly working on adding things to the spaceship parts, just a few weapons and range ideas posted so far.

I think the fun of it is that with DW and AoDP, you’ve got so much to play with that it should keep you happy without fan support for a while. Grab a rapier and a magnacoil handgun, and go find some trouble off-world!

  4. Just started a campaign of AoDP and it’s awesome, playing a Bounty Hunter with a Robotic Monkey (with my DNA powering it’s brain) sidekick. (IE Ranger)

Totally awesome if you like the genre.
