Interest check: Would anyone be interested in a tutorial session to learn how to use Macros and Token Actions in Roll20 so all Dungeon World moves are one-click easy? I want to give back to the community and teaching this is something I can do for us!

If there is interest, I will make a poll to choose a time.

Here are all my Macros set up for Dungeon World in Roll20.

I am a very visual person so I love using Roll20 to pull maps in on the fly to represent where we are. Last One Shot I moved tokens around continuously to represent a flying ghost and a moving mirror! 🙂

  1. Have you considered making videos that would last forever? Using freeware software you could make a tutorial video that would go much farther than a personal session (not that I don’t love that idea!).

  2. That would be awesome if you went that route. I’m not yet familiar with Roll20 but plan to use it in the future. Having that knowledge available then would be invaluable as I plan to run DW. Anything that saves time or makes it easier on me or my players is solid gold ^_^

They automate rolls basically and add useful information. Instead of rolling and looking to find the applicable modifier, you just click the macro and it pulls the modifier from your character sheet and does the roll, then outputs text that says what the move should do.
