I’m preparing to play my first Dungeon World game and was wondering if any of the old D&D modules have been converted?

Thanks.

  1. There have been (I haven’t done any myself, so I can’t help you there) but I’d recommend you do it yourself. That way you can focus on the parts of the adventure you remember and want to focus on, not somebody else’s interpretation of it. It’ll be YOUR Temple of Elemental Evil, not Jeff’s that you’re renting out for the weekend.

  2. I’ve converted quite a few but it’s just crib notes and nothing worth sharing honestly. Slave Pits of the Undercity made an excellent run and the emphasis on the doppelganger invasion of the slave pits was awesome. Tomb of the Lizard King went well and that was with first level characters. There were tweaks to numbers of monsters as you can’t be a meat grinder so much in Dungeon World. I’ve done Ravenloft as well. Almost any old AD&D will do wonders under DW if you cut the fat (empty dusty rooms) off and allow characters to shape the module to suit goals and desires. I do wish I had some concrete material to share but I use the modules as skeletons and allow the framework to flesh out as play progresses.
