  1. I can’t make, unfortunately, but one thing I was wondering is if you’re planning on doing anything to set ships apart. Like, are there going to be ship rules?

  2. There are definitely ship rules, yeah! This came up a couple of times and other people have asked me about it, so I’ll be making a fairly big post in the community, but the basics is: definitely yes!

    Ships have damage, type and size stats, plus plenty of space to describe it fictionally and with tags (e.g. phantom)

    Ship Crews are covered by special Hireling Mob mechanics, and ordering the crew (2d6+Loyalty) is generally how you command the ship. A high loyalty crew is going to sail efficiently, while a low loyalty crew (or a hurt crew!) is going to give problems.

    There are three sections for ship rules, and they interact with the basic stats above in very simple ways:

    * Rules for ordering the ship to act in a risky situation (e.g. firing the cannons while being shot at, dodging a reef, sailing out of a storm)

    * Perilous Journey rules for making an off-screen long journey (includes 1st Mate, Chef, Captain, Lookout)

    * a few backgrounds focused on controlling ships/ crews/ the oceans 🙂

  3. I can’t wait! I started making my own since we’re getting started on our game next week. I’m really interested in how you’re handling the crew because it sounds very streamlined
