Hmm. Various of my schoolfriends came from Queensbury, West Yorkshire, England. It’s really high up (well, for an English town), so snowy recollections abide. It’s pretty bleak, with the dark stone buildings and dry stone walls typical of the area. It’s also home of the Black Dyke Mills band, the country’s second best brass band (most folks would say best, but I come from Brighouse…)
