Jadepunk World? Jade World? (Have an idea for the name?)

We just announced an Apocalypse World/Dungeon World edition of Jadepunk when we hit 300 backers!

  1. Because I am curious and want more info, I’ll ask you dudes the same stuff I asked the folks doing Red Aegis.

What does your development window look like? Folks who love DW are going to want to know when they’ll get that content. Have you got anyone onboard with DW or *W development experience?

  2. Thanks, Adam. Those are informed questions (that I need to address on the Kickstarter, no doubt).

Since these are, essentially, stretch goals, writing will begin on this edition once the writing for the Fate Core edition is complete (we’re aiming at mid-late November for that). Since we’re reusing the setting and art, the AW/DW version will be finished more quickly and the pdf shouldn’t be very far behind the Fate Core one (which we’re aiming at a March release for).

While we are experienced designers, and huge fans of Apocalypse/Dungeon World with a good familiarity with the rules, we do not have anyone on the project at this time who has published a Dungeon World hack before.

  3. Ryan M. Danks don’t take it as criticism or anything!  I mean, everyone has to start somewhere.  It’s just something I suspect people are going to ask.

If this is your team’s first DW project, do you have playtesting planned into the schedule? Will you be making a draft available for review and feedback?

  4. I don’t take any offense. 🙂 they are important questions.

We are allowing a month for review of the Fate Core pdf and will do the same for the other systems. That gives backers an early draft and time to play it and give feedback before we tighten it up. If there are glaring issues, it may push design back a few weeks.
