In the last session, our Paladin, Augustine, went from being a servant of the light god to a servant of the Great Gator. The Great Gator blessed him, turning his plate mail green. What other effect did this have on the armor? The only idea I have so far is allowing him to swim like a gator.

  1. Effect the armor or the character?  For the armor, if you haven’t already done so, I’d remove the “Clumsy” tag from his plate – just as the base effect of the bless.

Now, adding a few fun long-term bits sounds fun.  I particularly like the suggestion to accumulate gator-like traits.  Related to that, perhaps a shapeshift move – become a gator or gator-hybrid for a few holds.

  2. Mundane gators revere the Walking Gator as one of their own, and an emissary to the Great Gator.

If the Paladin can hold something between his arms, it cannot break loose or be pulled free if he doesn’t allow it!

    +1-damage ongoing in a grapple.

  3. Don’t know about a power, but I’m sure wearing a bright green suit of armour is going to make life difficult in areas where the Light God is worshiped.

  4. ‘The armor is like a second skin underwater, it’s wearer never receives any negative Tags or penalties simply for wearing this armor underwater.’

  5. If one wears the armour in a swamp or similar environment, they can blend in with their surroundings, and remain unnoticed. The camouflage however will be rescinded if used to cowardly hide from predators, instead of ambushing prey.

  6. The Great Gator has blessed you with the Gator’s Gut.  You no longer age as a mammal.  The more you eat the larger you grow.  If ever you find yourself hungry, the first living being to come into your sight is your prey, regardless of their relationship to you.  I’m not actually suggesting this for game play, but I just had to type it.
