I have created a Word 2007 Playbook template based on Fenarisk’s .SVG version (which is posted on the Something Awful forums).  The fonts should be embedded.

For those interested, you can download a copy at this link:

Feedback welcome.

  1. When I get back from vacation (next week), I plan to update it to allow for some of the sections with headers to be resized, e.g. Alignment vs. Race vs. Bonds and Gear vs. Advanced Moves.  Also, I think I can also get it to allow you to swap out Alignment and Race with Drives and Background.

  2. *Sigh* I just finished making a set of very similar Word templates from scratch last week. Had all things moveble and resizable though, since I exported all the pieces separately.

Gret job on your part. Can you tell me what is the function that allows all the picrutes sink into the background and become inaccessible?

  3. This is awesome- thanks!

This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to rename/add sections? I’m hoping to add a spells section but I can’t figure out how to change the headers.

  4. You can copy and paste the Race/Background back into the document to create a new section.  The text on that header is editable.  For a full width header, you can copy and paste the Advanced Moves header back into the document.  You would have to put a text box with a black background over the header with your own title.  In the next version, I will add a third page with customizable, full page headers.

  5. Unfortunately, Word 2007 and Open Office are not 100% compatible.  The DOCX I created uses some advanced formatting that doesn’t translate well, like section breaks, different headers and footers, and text boxes.
