Has anyone taken on the earth elemental yet? I can’t see a way for a party to beat it without losing at least a few party members if not the whole party.

Don’t fight it. Find another way to overcome this summoned menace.
Summon water. Turn to mud. Get player. Make pottery.
I actually had a group beat it. It was a great fight, and a few of the character were close to dead, but no losses.
Sean Dunstan s signature hammer moves should help as do spells and rituals.
