Minotaur Blood

This elixir was originally an orcish concoction. While minotaur blood is no longer the main ingredient, it still retains the same dark red color and viscosity. Modern alchemy has replaced the blood with cheaper ingredients to help reduce the… unpleasant side effects.

The drinker of this potion takes +1 forward to his next two STR rolls and -1 forward to his next CHA or INT roll. These effects expire after a night’s rest.

  1. Bonuses are a big yawn! Magic items should be sexy-cool! So, I’m thinking…

    Upon drinking this potion, the character gains the gigantic strength and speed of the Minotaur.

    What that means should be sorted out by the table.

    Or!

    Upon drinking this repugnant combobulation, roll+CON and lets see if you can stomach it. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. On a miss, you start vomiting your guts out. Spend your hold 1 for 1 to use a Minotaur’s moves

    Similar to the Druid move but underpowered (cause The Druid is awesome, and you’re just drinking a potion) and CON-based since the potion is nasty.

How about this:  Upon drinking this potion, which lasts 24 hours, you grow significantly stronger and also gain the head of a bull!  Take a +1 ongoing to Str for the duration of the potion, but a -1 ongoing to Chr.  You may also make a charging gore attack with your horns that allows you to roll class damage twice and take the better result, but you must move from at least Thrown range into Hand range to do so.  Finally, you also instinctively know the correct path through any maze while under the effects of this potion.

    Having the head of a bull might cause other problems for the character as well, such as townsfolk mistaking him for a real minotaur…

  3. Mechanical bonuses are boring, really a good fighter can get lucky and two shot the red dragon as is. Some other ideas. You can take on more than one. Role for perilous journey, you are able to summoned up a Minotaur. Or you can add forceful to all your attack s for a day, think tags and fiction over mechanical advantage
