Quick question; if a fighter wields a Close signature weapon, and wields a longsword in his other hand, does he get the +1 damage bonus from the longsword?

  1. It also gives an alternative to choosing a shield?

Besides, dealing +1 damage for 2 weight is actually pretty much a cost to anyone, even the mighty fighter. 12 + STR?

OK, assume +2 STR, then he spends 7 weight on his two weapons and scale armor. If he wants a bow, then 3 more, and a pack of rations; 1 more. Now he only have room for 3 weight of swag. Unless he throws away stuff.

  2. I was wondering that. Perhaps one per blade, or the bonuses are only when you use them in convert. That way if one blade gets shattered, they have to go on a quest for another half of the daisho

  3. Richard Robertson As long as there isn’t an option to make the Sig two-handed, then I think this approach is just gimping the character unnecessarily, but the individual could find a compromise that made it doable and fun 🙂

Maybe getting an additional option from the list by accepting the Two-handed tag?

  4. Richard Robertson Exactly 🙂 It’s just that I wouldn’t advise people to gimp their characters just to conform to some image of their character. If I was a GM, that’d be the compromise I’d suggest. I wouldn’t say no, just ask what they wanted from dual-wielding.

  5. Sounds like the Advanced Moves should cover legal specializations.  ‘Hawke the Cleaver,  Hero of the Red River and Divorce Barrister”
