The Cleric move Apotheosis is really cool and now after reading it makes me want to play a Cleric sometime. Has anyone got any cool stories to share about using Apotheosis, what they chose and how well it did?

  1. For anyone having Apotheosis slip their memory;

    The next time you spend time in prayer as appropriate to your god after taking this move, choose a feature associated with your deity (rending claws, wings of sapphire feathers, an all-seeing third eye, etc.). When you emerge from prayer, you permanently gain that physical feature.

    So of course this can be really cool depending on what god you’ve chosen and the theme behind it.

    Some thoughts I’ve had;

    Solari, the Sun God, shines down on the worlds with the suns he creates to improve life around him. As a patron of Solari, my Apotheosis forms into that of a mini sun, attached and held in place by two horns on my head.

    Ursaruln is a god of War, portrayed most by a bear clad in weaponry and armor. My Apotheosis is that of a bears head in place of my own.

  2. Nice! I’m running an Eberron campaign, and my Cleric’s player has shown interest in becoming a deathless (positive energy-powered undead). I now have a way to let him do that.
