This is a concatenated set of 17 freely available alternate base classes for Dungeon World.  I’d like to add a single page for attribution.  This set includes the artificer, barbarian (the official one,) charlatan, fortune teller, warlock (the free one by Brandon Schmelz,) initiate, knight, namer, drider, gladiator, grave knight, leader, mage, noble, psion, shaman, and true friend.  I primarily made this for myself to make printing a batch of alternate classes more easily.

If you have any templated classes you’d like to be added or removed, or know who to attribute which classes to, please let me know.  If there’s any issue with this being online, let me know and I’ll kill the link and/or fix it.

  1. I’d love to add the attributions!  Here’s what I have so far, mainly from this site:

    http://nerdwerds.blogspot.com/2013/04/dungeon-world-resources.html

    Asininecurist and gnome7’s Noble

    Fenarisk’s Leader

    gnome7’s Drider

    gnome7’s True Friend

    Lemon Curdistan’s Shaman

    Mikan’s Warlock

    TheLoneAmigo and gnome7’s Artificer

    TombsGrave’s Psion

    Sears Poncho’s Charlatan

    GimpInBlack’s Gladiator

    Sage and Adam’s Barbarian

If anyone has any extra information on those not listed, please let me know, and I’ll update the file shortly.

  2. I have added a final page for attribution at the end of the document.  I am still missing the information for the fortune teller, the grave knight, the mage, and the initiate.  If anyone recognizes these and knows the author, please let me know and I’ll update further.  I hope this gets some use, I’m finally off to print my own copy now!

  3. Hey James, it’s a nice collection. I’d like a bit more detail on the attribution page – stuff like which licence the classes are under and a URL to find an up-to-date version of the class. That would make it more user friendly and also closer to complying with the Creative Commons Attribution licence, if that’s what the classes are under.

  4. Missed this the first time around –

gnome7 is Jacob Randolph, who is doing Inverse World right now.

The Shaman is by myself (Lemon Curdistan on SA). The Namer is by Andri Erlingsson (RulebookHeavily on SA).

All four Funhaver classes are CC-BY-SA.

  5. Excellent, thank you, the attribution page is updated with this information now.

I have no idea what any of these classes are licensed under, every pdf I have is just a character sheet w/o licensing information attached.  I could append the general DW license, but this isn’t OGL, so I dunno.

I included a link to Patrick Henry Downs ‘ site for current versions and such.

  6. Hey James, thanks for creating that attribution page. There’s no point appending the general DW licence, as these are distinct works (that wouldn’t work with the OGL either).

In the case of those products that are for sale, they usually put the licence on the sales blurb.

    Cheers,

  7. No updates since 5-12-13 as listed in the comments above.  So not for a year, alas!  If there’s a list of stuff people would like me to add, I’d be more than happy to.  I’d also set the thing up for faster double sided printed this go around, too, at the expense of juggling around the sheets w/ 3 pages.
