I searched the Codex first and was surprised no one had yet made a water weird. Question: given that this apparently was an original creation of Gary Gygax for the AD&D Monster Manual, should I have no licensing terms on it at all? It’s not in the Product Identity list for the d20 SRD v3.5, although it also doesn’t seem to be in the monster sections.

I’d say you can probably do whatever with it, but that’s just my guess.
Nice monster, although the HP and Armor values are pretty.. big. Maybe about 11 HP and 3 armor is more reasonable. While in its pool, it can regenerate ad-infinitum though..
I agree that those seem a bit too much, and overall it’s not quite where it should be, I think. It feels too powerful. Now that I’ve checked, I see that the edit function will let me customize to whatever I want, so I’ll spend some time later to adjust things.
